Homework Club-All Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade- If you need some extra help with your homework, or are struggling with a concept you are learning in class, come to the library Tuesday Dec 7th and Wednesday Dec. 8th with Mr. Haskell. All students working on all subject areas are welcome! 8th Grade Girls Basketball-Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls A team on a hard fought loss to Powell last night and a great season! Also a big congratulations to the Euclid Girls B team on a big nail biter of a win against Goddard! The Girls B Team will have AM practice this Thursday and Friday in preparation for their championship game this Saturday at 10:00 AM. Wish them luck! Wrestling End of Season-All Wrestlers 6th-8th grade come to the wrestling room after school, this Thursday, 4-5 for end of the season celebrations including medals from Districts and a team picture with the trophy. Lost and Found-Are you missing water bottles, hoodies, lunch boxes or jackets? They might be in our Lost and Found. Please have your student check for items during lunch time - we have quite a collection. Also, a friendly reminder to put names on items for help in getting them returned. Items will be donated or disposed of prior to winter break. If you have lost air pods/cases, jewelry, wallets, a logitech mouse and headphones, beats. keys or glasses/sunglasses, come by Mrs. Rand's desk in the Attendance office to see if we have them.
The Pride Alliance Club- will meet next Monday, December 13th, from 4:00-5:05 in the Downstairs Double Classroom outside Quest Hallway.
8th grade Boys Basketball-Attention all ballers and shot callers, the time has come to dribble your way to the tournament of champions! The first few practices are during the next two weeks. No experience necessary and everyone is welcome to come play and learn the game of basketball. Practice will be held in the gym. Please wear appropriate clothing, shoes and bring a water bottle. You will receive more information about practices and games during our first practice Thursday, December 9th @ 4:00 in the gym after school. Practices the following week are Monday morning December 13th @ 7:45 and Wednesday, December 15th after school at 4:00. See you in the Gym on Thursday after school!
NJHS Food Drive- Bring your non-perishable donations to the cafeteria and vote for the staff member you'd most like to see appear in costume. Our donations support the Backpack Society. See the poster outside the library or get a flier of needed items from your Core + teacher.
Holiday Happenings- Mark your calendar: Students and staff wear your holiday gear on Wednesday, December 15th! Thanks to our PTO, students will also have prize giveaways at the holiday lunch on that day as well.
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS-There will be a Battle of the Books meeting on Thursday, December 16 during Core + for all grades. . It's not too late to sign up to compete in the Euclid Middle School Battle of the Books. The competition isn't until May! If you are curious, swing by the library to get an information sheet or log into the Battle of the Books webpage to see a list of books, get information, and to sign up. BATTLE OF THE BOOK LEADERS-7th and 8th graders who have signed up to write questions for the elementary school Battle of the Books competition will meet during Core + on Thursday, December 9. If you haven't signed up but are interested, talk to Mrs. Milstead in the library.
Soccer Club - There will be no more soccer club for the rest of the semester. We will start playing again as early as possible in the spring next semester!
Library & Learning Center morning hours: The library will be limited to hosting 80 students each morning before school. When you enter the building before school, please stop at Mrs. Rand's desk to get a pass. You will place the pass in the basket labeled "morning passes" when you enter the library. As always, when you enter, you need to remain until the first bell at 8:45 (9:45 on Wednesdays).
Entering the building in the morning: Students can enter the cafeteria entrance at 8:30 AM, or through the main entrance, cafeteria entrance, and 7th-grade entrance at 8:45.
Cellphones: To maintain a focused learning environment, the no cellphone policy will continue at Euclid. We ask that students not bring cellphones to school or if they do, they should remain off and in the students’ lockers during the day. Should you need to make a call, we are happy to help in the main office.
