Upcoming Calendar Events: Here are a few highlighted upcoming events: August 19th
Attention all 6th Graders~ The co-ed 6th-grade basketball season is starting next week. Have you been playing basketball for years? Great! Have you never dribbled or shot a basketball in your life but you'd like to give it a try? Perfect! Would you like to be the first Euclid students’ to play in the beautifully renovated gym? You've got it! The goal is for everyone to develop skills, play games, meet new people, and have fun. The season goes quickly so don't miss out! If you are interested, come to the first practice this Monday from 3:45-4:45 pm in the gym with comfortable shoes. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Teruel (7th grade Venture CORE) or Ms. Blankenship (Library). Hope to see you there! School Store~The school store will be opening next Thursday, August 22nd, during lunch only. SUMMER PHOTOS FOR YEARBOOK~The yearbook staff needs your help. They are creating a feature about summer fun. You are invited to submit photos of your Euclid Falcon enjoying summer activities at home, in Colorado and beyond. Photos can be sent to Jennifer Milstead, the yearbook adviser, at jmilstead@lps.k12.co.us. Please be sure to say where your child is, what they are doing, and who they are. Student Council Executive Board Members only~Welcome back everyone! Student Council 8th grade executive board members only, will have their first meeting on Monday 8/19 at 7:45. We will meet in Ms. Onstott's room, 1292. Please bring your chromebooks to the meeting. Attention 7th grade boys and girls~ Do you like to run fast, throw far, or jump high? If so, join Track after school on Tuesday August 27th from 3:45-4:45 PM! Coach Biddulph and Coach Andriese will hand out schedules and permission slips at practice on the track. Have a water bottle and be ready to run! Euclid's fall musical~"Addams Family," is starting soon, and we'd love to have you join us! All grade levels and experience levels are welcome. Please stop by Mrs. Alexander's room (1366) to pick up an audition packet. All students who audition will be a part of our show. Auditions begin on Monday 8/26 - we can't wait to work with you! Reach out to Mrs. Alexander with any questions at ealexander@lps.k12.co.us with any questions. 8th Grade~Attention runners, jumpers and throwers. 8th grade track and field begins on Monday, August 19 at 3:45 on the Track. All skill levels are welcome, bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes. See coach Borel or Coach Onstott with any questions! LIBRARY OPEN BEFORE SCHOOL: THE LIBRARY WILL OPEN ON MONDAY, AUGUST 19th. Students may visit the library before school, starting with the 7:55 bell. Students must get a pass at the front doors between 7:55-8:05, or until passes run out. Please return the pass to the basket at the circulation desk and remain until the 8:10 a.m. bell. Lost and Found-Lost and Found-If you have lost air pods/cases, jewelry, wallets,watches, headphones, keys, glasses or sunglasses, come by Mrs. Rand's desk in the Attendance office to see if we have them. Entering the building in the morning: Students can enter the cafeteria entrance at 7:55 AM, or through the main entrance, cafeteria entrance, and 7th-grade entrance at 8:10. Cellphones: To maintain a focused learning environment, the no cellphone policy will continue at Euclid. We ask that students not bring cellphones to school or if they do, they should remain off and in the students’ lockers during the day. Should you need to make a call, we are happy to help in the main office. What’s for lunch?? Proximos Eventos A continuación, se encontrarán algunos de los próximos eventos destacados para el 19 de Agosto
Tienda de la escuela- La tienda de la escuela abrirá el próximo jueves 22 de agosto solo durante el almuerzo. Atención a todos los estudiantes de sexto grado ~ La temporada mixta de baloncesto de sexto grado comenzará la próxima semana. ¿Llevas años jugando al baloncesto? ¡Excelente! ¿Nunca en tu vida has jugado o lanzado una pelota de baloncesto pero te gustaría intentarlo? ¡Perfecto! ¿Les gustaría ser los primeros estudiantes de Euclid en jugar en el gimnasio todo renovado? ¡Lo tienes! El objetivo es que todos desarrollen habilidades, jueguen, conozcan gente nueva y se diviertan. ¡La temporada pasa rápido así que no te lo pierdas! Si estás interesado ven a la primera práctica este lunes de 3:45 a 4:45 pm en el gimnasio con calzado cómodo.
