Art Club~ Do you enjoy creating art? Join the Art Club! All students who want to create art are welcome. We will meet on Tuesdays after school. Our first meeting will be Tuesday 8/27 at 3:40pm in the art room (1735). Please see Mrs. Plecker with any questions. NJHS applications~ 7th- and 8th-graders with a GPA of 3.75 or higher received invitations to apply to National Junior Honor Society. Applications are due in student services by 3:30 Friday, August 30. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. If you have questions, please talk to Mrs. Lunn or Ms. Milstead. If you were inducted last year, you do not need to apply again. Check the bulletin and Google Classroom for meeting dates. School Store~The school store will be opening next Thursday, August 22nd, during lunch only. SUMMER PHOTOS FOR YEARBOOK~The yearbook staff needs your help. They are creating a feature about summer fun. You are invited to submit photos of your Euclid Falcon enjoying summer activities at home, in Colorado and beyond. Photos can be sent to Jennifer Milstead, the yearbook adviser, at jmilstead@lps.k12.co.us. Please be sure to say where your child is, what they are doing, and who they are. Jazz Band~Do you play piano, guitar, or bass? The Euclid Jazz Band needs you! "Swing" by the band room (1370) to get audition music and information, and talk to Mr. Holcombe if you have questions. You do not need to be in band to join jazz band on these instruments! Attention 7th grade boys and girls: Do you like to run fast, throw far, or jump high? If so, join Track after school on Tuesday August 27th from 3:45-4:45 PM! Coach Biddulph and Coach Andriese will hand out schedules and permission slips at practice on the track. Have a water bottle and be ready to run! Euclid's fall musical, "Addams Family," is starting soon, and we'd love to have you join us! All grade levels and experience levels are welcome. Please stop by Mrs. Alexander's room (1366) to pick up an audition packet. All students who audition will be a part of our show. Auditions begin on Monday 8/26 - we can't wait to work with you! Reach out to Mrs. Alexander with any questions at ealexander@lps.k12.co.us with any questions. LIBRARY OPEN BEFORE SCHOOL: Students may visit the library before school, starting with the 7:55 bell. Students must get a pass at the front doors between 7:55-8:05, or until passes run out. Please return the pass to the basket at the circulation desk and remain until the 8:10 a.m. bell. Lost and Found-Lost and Found-If you have lost air pods/cases, jewelry, wallets,watches, headphones, keys, glasses or sunglasses, come by Mrs. Rand's desk in the Attendance office to see if we have them. Entering the building in the morning: Students can enter the cafeteria entrance at 7:55 AM, or through the main entrance, cafeteria entrance, and 7th-grade entrance at 8:10. Cellphones: To maintain a focused learning environment, the no cellphone policy will continue at Euclid. We ask that students not bring cellphones to school or if they do, they should remain off and in the students’ lockers during the day. Should you need to make a call, we are happy to help in the main office. What’s for lunch?? Club de Arte~ ¿Te gusta crear arte? ¡Únete al Club de Arte! Todos los estudiantes que quieran crear arte son bienvenidos. Nos reuniremos los martes después de la escuela. Nuestra primera reunión será el martes 27 de agosto a las 3:40 pm. en el salón de arte (1735). Si tiene alguna pregunta, consulte a la Sra. Plecker. Solicitudes de NJHS ~ Los estudiantes de 7.º y 8.º grado con un GPA de 3.75 o superior recibieron invitaciones para postularse a la Sociedad Nacional de Honor Juvenil. Las solicitudes deben entregarse en servicios estudiantiles antes de las 3:30 pm del viernes 30 de agosto. No se considerarán las solicitudes tardías o incompletas. Si tiene preguntas, hable con la Sra. Lunn o la Sra. Milstead. Si fue admitido el año pasado, no necesita volver a presentar su solicitud. TELÉFONOS CELULARES: Para mantener un ambiente de aprendizaje enfocado, la política de no usar teléfonos celulares continuará en Euclid. Les pedimos a los estudiantes que no traigan teléfonos celulares a la escuela o, si lo hacen, deben permanecer apagados y en los casilleros durante todo el día. Si necesita comunicarse con alguien, estaremos felices de ayudarle en la oficina principal.
